We are pleased to announce that the University of Vienna, in collaboration with the Salo W. and Jeannette M. Baron Foundation, will host the 3rd Salo W. and Jeannette M. Baron Awards for Scholarly Excellence in Research of the Jewish Experience in 2025. This event underscores important contributions to the field of Jewish studies and provides an opportunity to recognize quality research.

We are honored to welcome this year’s senior laureate, Professor Sarah Abrevaya Stein (UCLA). Professor Stein’s research, which provides valuable insights into Mediterranean and Sephardic studies as well as the history of Nazi persecution in North Africa, continues to enrich our understanding of Jewish history.
